Workers’ Compensation Weekly Benefit Rates Set for October 1, 2019, Through September 30, 2020
The Division of Workers’ Compensation has announced that the workers’ compensation state average weekly wage for dates of injury from October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2020, is set at $970.71. The maximum weekly TIBs, LIBs and death benefits rates for workers’ compensation benefits are set at $971 and the minimum weekly benefit rate is set at $146 for that period. The maximum weekly IIBs and SIBs rates for workers’ compensation income benefits are set at $679.
The maximum and minimum weekly TIBs, LIBs and death benefits rates for dates of injury from October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019, were $938 and $141 respectively. The maximum weekly IIBs and SIBs rates for dates of injury from October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019, were $679.
In accordance with Texas Labor Code §408.047, the workers’ compensation state average weekly wage is equal to 88 percent of the average weekly wage in covered employment as computed each year by the Texas Workforce Commission under TLC §207.002(c).
