Q. Is there a rule for how many days to send out DWC-12 or DWC-42 to the widow?
A. Per 132.17(d), you have 7 days from the date the carrier identified or was otherwise made aware of the identity and means of contacting the potential beneficiary.
Q. If a claimant is drawing social security and received a 15% Impairment Rating from the Designated Doctor, is she eligible to get a lump sum of the IIBs?
A. No. There must be return to work earning at least 80% of the AWW for at least three months as a threshold requirement to be eligible to commute IIBs.
