Stokes to become Of Counsel to FO&L
Bobby Stokes has announced he will become “of counsel” to Flahive, Ogden & Latson on January 1, 2022. Mr. Stokes graduated from the Baylor University School of Law in 1981, where he served as managing editor of the Baylor Law Review. He is a past member and chair of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and past member of the State Bar of Texas Pattern Jury Charges Committee, General Negligence, Intentional Torts & Workers’ Compensation.
He began work at Flahive in April 1984 following a judicial clerkship with the Hon. Earl W. Smith at the Third Court of Appeals in Austin, Texas. He is board certified in Civil Appellate Law and Workers’ Compensation Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Stokes’ practice has allowed him to defend carriers, self-insurers and employers before the Texas Industrial Accident Board, the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation and before trial and appellate courts throughout the state. He has appeared in more than 10,000 Prehearing Conferences, 7500 Benefit Review Conferences and 2000 Contested Case Hearings. He has represented carriers in six cases before the Texas Supreme Court.
