The law is an endless series of problems that we are tasked to solve. Every problem has a solution. My job is to secure the outcome that is as close as possible to the outcome that was originally hoped for or expected.

I was born in Galveston, raised in Houston and came to Austin in 1996. I have one adult daughter living in Manhattan.

Member of the Texas State Bar 1987, Board certified in Texas workers’ compensation law 2004, licensed to practice before the US district court for the southern district of Texas and the 5th circuit court of Appeals.
WORK HISTORY
My first job was as a bagger at a local grocery store when I was 14. Since then, I worked in a hospital laundry, worked on a concrete crew, drove a concrete truck, worked as a roustabout on a land rig, drove 18 wheelers, had a two week stint on a casing crew, was a forklift driver at a chemical warehouse, was on a fracking crew and tended bar during law school. Having had enough of that fun, I started as an associate at an insurance defense firm, Lorance and Thompson in 1987. I left for Flahive, Ogden and Latson in 1995.
HOBBIES
I have been a scuba diver for over 40 years. I love travel and have visited more than 30 countries.
