Division Sets Date, Posts Agenda, for Carrier Quarterly Meeting

The Division of Workers’ Compensation has posted an agenda for the upcoming Insurance Carrier Quarterly meeting to discuss complaints and other compliance issues in the Texas workers’ compensation system. The meeting will occur Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Tippy Foster meeting room of the agency’s central office. The purpose of this meeting is to provide insurance carriers with early notice of complaint issues currently impacting the system and to solicit feedback that will assist the TDI-DWC in resolving these issues. Our goal will be to provide system complaint information and to problem-solve through focused, open communication in an informal atmosphere.

Immediately following the Carrier Quarterly Meeting, the Division will conduct the Quarterly EDI meeting. That meeting will run from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to provide a forum to discuss technical EDI related issues, with the goal to discuss technical EDI issues and problem-solve through focused, open communication in an informal atmosphere.

The Division has also posted an agenda for the EDI meeting. A call in number has been provided for the Quarterly EDI meeting. The Division requests that those who are calling in for the meeting mute their telephones so not to disturb the meeting. Also, questions will only be accepted from the in-person audience. Both meetings will be held in the Tippy Foster Room of the TDI-DWC’s Metro Center location at 7551 Metro Center Drive, Suite 100 (near the intersection of Highway 71 and Riverside Drive) in Austin.
