DWC Adopts Rule and Proposes Updated Form for MFDR Requests

The Division of Workers’ Compensation has adopted amendments to Rule 133.307 to allow health care providers and pharmacy processing agents to electronically submit requests for medical fee dispute resolution. The new rule for electronic submissions will go into effect on February 22, 2021.

The adopted amendments will be published in the January 29, 2021, issue of the Texas Register. They will be available at www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/index.shtml once published. The Division will also post a copy of the adopted rule on its website at www.tdi.texas.gov/wc/rules/2020rules.html.

To support implementation of the amended rule, DWC plans to update DWC Form-060, Medical Fee Dispute Resolution Request.
