DWC Explains Telemedicine in a Video
The Division of Workers’ Compensation has posted a video that demonstrates how telemedicine is supposed to work in the Texas workers’ compensation system.
Telemedicine has the potential to transform the workers’ compensation industry in Texas, providing injured employees with a much-needed alternative to on-site medical care. The Texas Workers’ Compensation Act and Rules allow for billing and reimbursement of certain telemedicine and telehealth services. Injured employees can receive these services regardless of where they live.
