DWC Releases 2025 Health Care Provider PBO Results
DWC has published the 2025 health care provider performance-based oversight assessment results and a list of the health care provider tier placements.
DWC regularly evaluates health care providers for compliance with Texas Labor Code Section 402.075 and 28 Texas Administrative Code Section 180.19.
Performance Based Oversight (PBO) is a review of Insurance carriers’ and health care providers’ performance in selected areas of compliance.
The purpose of PBO is to:

- Set performance expectations
- Reward excellence
- Encourage continuous improvement.

Providers are ranked in one of three categories – High, Average, and Poor – in DWC Form-69 report of Medical Evaluation and DWC Form-73 Work Status Report categories.
