On March 5, 2020, FO&L will host its 52nd annual client seminar, “2020: A New Focus on Workers’ Compensation in Texas” in Plano Texas. The seminar will take place at the Plano Event Center. The seminar offers a substantive Agenda on important subjects such as Navigating Extent of Injury and Causation, presented by Alex Scheer; Pursuing Subrogation Effectively, presented by Colin Moore; Finding Money in your Files, presented by Greg Solcher; and Drafting Compliant Plain Language Notices, presented by Roy Leatherberry.
Other speakers will discuss how to defend cases in judicial review, how to make the designated doctor process work for you, where the compliance traps lie, and how the system has changed since the 2005 reforms.
The centerpiece of the seminar this year will be a panel discussion with DWC Commissioner Cassie Brown and senior DWC staff discussing issues of importance to all system stakeholders, including the Division’s analysis of carrier responsibilities after S.B. 2551. FO&L attorney Paul Stone will moderate the discussion.
