A. As of September 1, 2015, the burial benefit is the lesser of the actual expense or $10,000.

A. The date of death. You should adjuster from the TIBs rate to the death benefit rate as of that date and moving forward.

Q. If a decedent’s wife was pregnant when the decedent passed away, may the child a proper legal beneficiary for purposes of death benefits.

A. Yes.

Q. Do we pay death benefits on a weekly basis or monthly basis?

A. Weekly. The beneficiary would have to formally request a change to monthly benefits.
