Q. I received an approved DWC-53/Change of Treating Doctor. What is the timeframe to dispute and how do I dispute?
A. You have 10 days from the date you received the order to dispute by filing a DWC-45 and requesting a BRC.
Q. I am paying death benefits to the decedent’s youngest daughter, who is the only beneficiary eligible for payments as she is still enrolled in college full-time. Do those benefits end after a certain age or do they continue until she finishes college?
A. Per Rule 132.8, benefits end the earlier of 1) the date on which the child ceases, for the second consecutive semester (excluding summer semesters), to be enrolled as a full-time student or 2) the date on which the child turns 25.
