Medicare Reimbursement Rates Set to Change

Most Texas workers’ compensation medical reimbursement rates are based on a percentage of Medicare reimbursement rates. The new fee schedule, known as MACRA, will replace the previous SGR system. MACRA will increase reimbursement 0.5% per year until 2019.
