PRIMA Conference Scheduled for November
The Texas Chapter of the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) has announced that their annual conference and expo, titled “Risk Management: A Journey Into the Wild”, is scheduled for November 5-8 at the Moody Gardens Hotel & Convention Center in Galveston, Texas.
Started in 1989, this event now registers more than 700 risk management professionals annually. According to their website, attendance at Texas PRIMA’s annual conference offers:

- Four educational tracks with many sessions offering continuing education credits. Topics include general risk management, safety/claims, workers’ compensation, employee practices and benefits.
- Networking events to get to know peers from across the state.
- Excellent value in educational programming thanks to their sponsor partnerships.
- The largest risk management Exhibition in Texas offering a wealth of ideas and resources.

FOL is very proud to announce that attorney Jessica MacCarty has been asked to present at PRIMA this year. Her topic, titled “First Responder Presumptions in Workers’ Compensation”, is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov 7, 2023 from 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM, and will offer a wealth of insights and strategies into the handling of these complex claims.
