Top 10 National Workers’ Comp Cases for 2018

For the past twelve years, national workers’ compensation blogger, Thomas A. Robinson has compiled his Top 10 workers’ compensation cases for the year. Here is the 2018 Top Ten List.

He reports that this year has been relatively calm for the workers’ compensation world, but that such quiet times will likely not continue and that 2018 might, therefore, appropriately be characterized as “the quiet before the storm.” In spite of the lack of overall turbulence, there have been some important court decisions in our field of interest this year. The cases are varied by jurisdiction and topic, but address such subjects as constitutional challenges, alien status and gun injuries. Of course “importance”—like beauty—is in the eye of the beholder. But it’s an interesting list.
